TO BENEFIT GIRL SCOUT TROOP #477 / 478
This is our preliminary wish list. We may add or delete items as we finalize the games, but if you have any items lying around you'd be willing to donate, please let me know ASAP as that will affect the decision on which games to make. Before making any donations keep in mind I'm looking for things that you no longer use. Some of these will need to be painted or decorated, and others just may not survive a night of game playing. PLEASE don't donate anything that you would be heartbroken over if it got destroyed.
Donations of any of these items will help DRASTICALLY. The more games we can make with little or no cost to the troop, the more the carnival becomes profitable and the more experiences we can provide for the girls this school year. I'm hoping there are enough items on the list that everyone can provide a few things without having to buy anything, although you are welcome to purchase a few inexpensive items (like papergoods, tablecloths) at a dollar store if you would like. We'll wait til we get a good bit of donations before we purchase anything - so we can save troop funds for the items we most need that we couldn't get donated.
I have been unable to get the page set up where you can sign up for items right on this page, so instead there is a link at the bottom of the page. You can click and fill out the form notifying me of what you can donate, and I'll manually update the page as donations are offered - so we don't end up with 12 of one thing and none of others.
PRELIMINARY WISH LIST
Plywood - doesn't have to be in great shape
Old tool box or similar, with a lid that can be locked, for a treasure box.
Aquarium, small 10 - 20 gallon, but preferably taller than normal, and able to hold water
Ping pong balls and various size small, soft balls
Bean bags (or beans or rice and fabric to make them)
Clothespins
Coffee cans
Glass jars
Hula Hoop
Ladder - this should be returnable unharmed
Toilet seat - toddler or full size
Drying rack - to hold bags of cotton candy for sale - should be returnable unharmed
Plastic wrap / Saran wrap and small plates for bake sale
Squirt guns
Lock and Keys - one that fits and others that don't
Fish bowls
Posterboard - white and colored & construction paper
Bowling game
Soccer ball
Golf tees
Paint - leftover room size cans or small craft paints - any paint
Temporary tattoos and a sponge
Trash cans and trash bags - the more we set up the easier clean up will be
Twister game - just the plastic game mat -if you don't play it any more, may not survive
Pumpkins
Kiddy pool or other duck pond item
Lollipops - small or tootsie roll
Sack race sacks
Stuffed animals - these can be used and we'll sanitize them, we can use LOTS
Prizes - will provide ideas soon
Solid color dollar store tablecloths - we need LOTS
Cardtable or other small tables we can use for game set up. Or tubs with lids.
Cans of hair dye (if we opt for this station) - can find at dollar stores in Halloween section
Lysol cans and wipes for cleaning of used items
Napkins and plates
Small candy and gum for prizes
Any fall or carnival decorative items
MONEY!! If you'd like to help support the carnival without the hassle of digging through the garage or running around to stores, we'll gladly accept cash donations. Any amount helps!!
Also would like to find someone to donate the use of a bouncy house, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, or snow cone machine. Anyone who could be a clown, juggler, magician or anything similar that is willing to donate their time is welcome!
